I’m back…..

Sorry it took so long to update the site…between weddings, funerals, floods, and everything else in between I am finally able to update.

Last Monday, October 5th, I received an email from Good Samaritan Baptist Mission (www.goodsamaritan.ms), announcing a missing trip for March 2010 to Honduras & Nicaragua.  I had the opportunity to go on a trip back in 2005 and have been wanting to return ever since.  After I received the email, I decided that I was going to go on this trip….if it was God’s will.  All week, I have been praying and all week God has been talking back to me.  Yesterday, the morning sermon was a definite confirmation that it is His will for me to go on this trip.  So please keep me in prayer because I will need to start fundraising soon. 

The name of the sermon yesterday was ”What is being a missionary all about?”  The main points were as follows and the focal scripture was Mark 16:15…I added a few more scripture to go along with it:

• Missionary work is about going into ALL the world
• Missionary work is about preaching the gospel
• Missionary work is about reaching ALL people.

Mark 16:15 And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Matthew 28:19-20 go ye therefore, and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

John 14:26 But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, who the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remember, whatsoever, I have said unto you.

John 4:35-36 Say not ye, There are yet four months and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields,; for they are white already to harvest.  And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gatherest fruit unto life eternal; that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. 

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
